CDT was established by Miroslav Lorenc, Petr Jirsák and Felipe Martínez. Together, despite their different professional backgrounds, they were aware of the need to devote themselves to a state called the Digital Transformation, Industry 4.0 or the Fourth Industrial Revolution from an economic point of view. The changes that the digital transformation will bring will affect many sectors and affect each of us. We need to be prepared for these changes and, accordingly, also educate future graduates of the University of Economics.
At present, more than 20 academics and practitioners are involved in the centre’s activities. The Centre thus provides spreading current knowledge of the digital transformation of the society, deales with the strategic aspects of enterprise management in the field of Industry 4.0., helps enterprises improve their performance and works on various scientific projects.
