Arts management education in practice
Members of the Center of Management and Economics of Culture and Department of Arts Management contributed to a series of twelve excursions wher the arts management students met professionaůs from practice.
The final excursion of the semester brought together students from several courses. Thanks to the willingness and openness of the management of the South Bohemian Gallery in České Budějovice, students could see both permanent and temporary exhibitions in the gallery building in Hluboká, discuss with the director the advantages and disadvantages of cultural management of region-funded institution. The gallery is located nearby castle Hluboká, one of the most visited tourist attraction of South Bohemia. The relationships between state-owned castle and region-funded gallery are correct, but not intensive. The highlight of the excursion was a visit to the depository of a gallery and a tour of the newly reconstructed gallery buildings in České Budějovice.
