Basic information

The Institute of Management at the Faculty of Business Administration oversees the Centres of Excellence and executive education activities, including the Executive MBA programme, which is the first and only programme in the Czech Republic delivered by a faculty holding the triple international accreditation EQUIS, AMBA, and AACSB.

The Institute of Management is an independent internal unit of the Faculty of Business Administration. Its primary mission is to deliver consulting, research, education, expert services, and related activities in the fields of corporate management and entrepreneurship. In carrying out its activities, the Institute draws on the expertise of the faculty’s internal academic staff, experts from other faculties of the Prague University of Economics and Business, as well as external professionals.

The core purpose of the Institute is to effectively connect the faculty’s academic potential with current challenges faced by business practice and to bridge these two often distinct environments. Within the Centres of Excellence, relatively autonomous teams composed of practitioners and academics operate, each specialising in a specific domain. These Centres provide a shared platform for interdisciplinary collaboration between faculty departments and industry, focusing not only on contract research but also on educational and other professional activities.

Within the area of executive education, the Institute of Management focuses on delivering educational activities for domestic and international clients, primarily through the Executive MBA programme and short- and long-term initiatives, including executive courses and academies.
