New book published: Humanizing the Digital Workspace
We’re happy to share that our Head of Centre, Marko Orel, has just co-edited a new book with Springer Nature called “Humanizing the Digital Workspace: Creativity, Innovation and Leadership in the Age of Technology.” He worked with Matej Černe from the University of Ljubljana and Sut I Wong from BI Norwegian Business School to bring together top researchers tackling a big question: how do we balance people and technology in today’s workplaces?
What makes this book special is that it doesn’t just focus on the tech side of things. The 23 chapters dive into the human side too – the psychology, social dynamics, and culture of digital work. It challenges the idea that technology kills creativity and shows how it can actually boost collaboration and innovation. From AI in the workplace to hybrid work and employee wellbeing, it covers the issues we’re all grappling with as work continues to evolve. It’s a timely contribution to understanding how we can embrace technology without losing what makes us human at work.
