The Insolvency 2019 Conference Was Successfully Held

The “Insolvency 2019 – preventive and early-stage restructuring” was organized at the University of Economics in Prague in May 2019. The event subtitled „Towards increased efficiency and competitiveness of the Czech economy in the globalized environment“ marked more than 200 registered participants who attended the program consisting of 16 speeches.

The participants included the members of European Commission expert group for restructuring and insolvency Daniel Friedemann Fritz and Nora Wouters, who took part in the panel discussion on preventive restructuring and they provided interesting opinions and a complex view of the issue. The speakers included lawyers, insolvency practitioners, academics, experts, forensic auditors, the representatives of the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic, and a representative of the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic.

At the end of the conference, the head of the Centre for Restructuring and Insolvency Ing. Lee Louda, Ph.D. awarded three teams from the University of Economics for the best three students’ papers on Turnaround Management.
